To assist the responsible person in ensuring that the properties they are managing are compliant with current regulations and guidelines we provide comprehensive combined Fire Safety and Health and Safety inspections of the common areas using a five-step methodology:
- Identifying Fire and Safety hazards
- Identifying people at risk
- Recording the inspection findings,
- Advising on removing or reducing the risks
- Reviewing and updating the fire risk assessment regularly.
The inspections ensure compliance with The Fire Safety Act 2021 and The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 . From 23 January 2023 these regulations have made it a legal requirement that a responsible person is assigned a duty of care for residential buildings and to put in place general fire precautions.
This duty of care includes making sure that all fire doors – including flat entrance doors – are capable of providing adequate protection. Any residential building which contains two or more sets of domestic premises are within the scope of the Fire Safety Order.
